God is Love

1 John 4:7-10

4:7 Dear friends, let us love one another, because 17  love is from God, and everyone who loves 18  has been fathered 19  by God and knows God. 4:8 The person who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 20  4:9 By this 21  the love of God 22  is revealed in us: 23  that God has sent his one and only 24  Son into the world so that we may live through him. 4:10 In this 25  is love: not that 26  we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice 27  for our sins.

Is there a separation between God and love?  As the Bible says God is love and love is God.  God loves us beyond the physical and unconditionally.  How many of us can say that we love unconditionally?

Start by removing the hate from your heart.  People may find this difficult but once your salvation has been assured, this should come naturally to born-again Christians.  Being Christian shouldn't be a burden but a blessing.  We should enjoy God and do what is pleasing to him.

What better way to please our Creator than by loving others.  This was Jesus' charge to us and we should follow that one command if nothing else.  God so loved the world that he gave his only Son for our salvation.  Love and love unconditionally.  God Bless!

Faith, Grace and Righteousness

Romans 3:22-26

3:22 namely, the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ 28  for all who believe. For there is no distinction, 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. 3:24 But they are justified 29  freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. 3:25 God publicly displayed 30  him 31  at his death 32  as the mercy seat 33  accessible through faith. 34  This was to demonstrate 35  his righteousness, because God in his forbearance had passed over the sins previously committed. 36  3:26 This was 37  also to demonstrate 38  his righteousness in the present time, so that he would be just 39  and the justifier of the one who lives because of Jesusfaithfulness.

Faith is the constant we have on this earth.  Our faith guides us along the journey and brings us to God.  All things are possible through faith.  Seeing without believing is probably the most difficult part of your walk.  The more faith you have, the more you will start to see God manifested in your life.

We live in a fallen world that only gets worse as the days go by.  But take heart, brothers in Christ for the righteousness of Christ redeems us and increases our faith.  The grace of God and our saviour Jesus Christ passes to us through His righteousness.

God grants salvation and redemption to all who believe in Him.  Ask forgiveness for your sins and know that you are forgiven.  Faith, grace and righteousness are the basic tenets of who we are and what we do in Christ.  Share the good news and God Bless!

Where are you Sowing Seed?

Mark 4:1-8, The Parable of the Sower

4:1 Again he began to teach by the lake. Such a large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat on the lake and sat there while 1  the whole crowd was on the shore by the lake. 4:2 He taught them many things in parables, 2  and in his teaching said to them: 4:3 Listen! A sower went out to sow. 3  4:4 And as he sowed, some seed 4  fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it. 4:5 Other seed fell on rocky ground 5  where it did not have much soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep. 6  4:6 When the sun came up it was scorched, and because it did not have sufficient root, 7  it withered. 4:7 Other seed fell among the thorns, 8  and they grew up and choked it, 9  and it did not produce grain. 4:8 But 10  other seed fell on good soil and produced grain, sprouting and growing; some yielded thirty times as much, some sixty, and some a hundred times.”

This is one of my favorite group of verses in the Bible.  The law of sowing and reaping is a universal one but one that is often misunderstood.  Its simplicity might be where the confusion lies.  We reap what we sow.  Sounds easy but it can be slightly more complex.

This applies to not only money but all the things God has for us.  Do you want to prosper?  Money is just the tip of the iceberg that you can experience through God.  I don't know about you but I want 100 times what I sow.  But how you ask?  Sow your seed on good soil.  Mentor young people, spend time with others, work at your church.  Give generously and without reservation.

The Word is the seed.  When it gets ahold of your heart, the roots go so deep that they can never be lost.  Commit to God, sow seed and God will prosper you in areas you cannot imagine.  God Bless!

Salvation through Faith

2 Timothy 3:14-16
"But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.  All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness."

Is there anything greater than salvation through faith?  I can't think on anything sweeter than knowing God loves us no matter how much we screw up.  Jesus gave his life on the cross for us and God gave his only son.  It is amazing that we are loved so much despite the mistakes we make.

Take the opportunity to rededicate yourself to God.  Reaffirm your salvation and if you have never asked God into your heart, your time is now.  Feel the awesome power of God and the peace that will come into all areas of your life.  Have faith and your salvation will be assured.

How to live victorious through Christ

Revelation 2:7 (NIV)
"Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.  To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God."

This is the goal and this is why we are living a life for God.  Enjoy the things God has given you, stay positive and work hard.  Live joyously and spread the good news.  All things are possible through Christ who allows us victory in this life and eternity.  God Bless!

Purpose

We all have a purpose in life.  Sometimes more than one.  I came up with the idea to provide an inspirational resource for the believer to provide a light for those in the world but not of the world.  I hope you find this useful and will enjoy the posts.  Please feel encouraged to comment and ask questions.  I will do the best to answer and provide the truth.  We are all seeking to live victorious through Christ.  God Bless!
